Microsoft 365 support and management
Almost every business we look after runs on Microsoft 365. Getting it right is the difference between a tool your team relies on and a monthly bill nobody understands.
Microsoft 365 is usually the first thing a business moves to the cloud and the last thing anyone reviews. Settings get switched on during a migration and never looked at again. Licences get added when people join and never removed when they leave. Sharing links get created for one supplier and stay live for years.
None of that is anyone’s fault. It is what happens when a system is easy to add to and nobody owns it.
What we do about it
We own it. That means your tenant is monitored, your licences are reviewed, your security settings are set deliberately rather than by default, and your data is backed up somewhere Microsoft does not control.
If you want to see where you stand before committing to anything, the free health check is the place to start.
If you would rather read first, we have written up the five Microsoft 365 mistakes we find most often and the fix for each one. Four of the five you can check yourself in an afternoon.
What is included
What you get
Migration
Email, files and permissions moved across out of hours, with a plan for the day after so nobody is left guessing.
Licence review
We check what each person actually uses and match them to the right plan. Paying for Business Premium for someone who only needs email is money on the floor. Rising running costs were the biggest outside pressure on small businesses last year, named by 65% of those surveyed by Beetroot Consulting (The Listening, 2025).
Security configuration
Multi-factor authentication, Conditional Access, admin account separation and legacy sign-in turned off.
Email authentication
SPF, DKIM and DMARC set up so your email lands in inboxes and is harder to spoof.
Teams and SharePoint
Structure, permissions and sharing rules that make sense, rather than a folder called New Folder that everyone can see.
Backup
Microsoft keeps your service running. It does not keep a long term backup of your data. We add one.
Email signatures
One consistent signature across the company, applied centrally so it is right on every device and nobody has to paste it in themselves.
Day to day admin
New starters, leavers, shared mailboxes, distribution lists, mobile devices and the odd recovered email.
How we work
What working with us looks like
- 1
Check first
We start with a read-only health check of your tenant so we can see the real picture before anyone changes anything.
- 2
Fix the risky bits
Sign-in security and leavers come first. They are the two things attackers rely on.
- 3
Then tidy the rest
Licences, sharing, mailbox rules and storage, in an order that does not disrupt your week.
Free, no obligation
Free Microsoft 365 health check
A read-only check of your security, licences and backups, with a plain-English report and a short call to walk through it.
Common questions
Can you move us from an on-premises Exchange server?
Yes. We plan the cutover around your working hours and keep the old system available until everyone is settled.
Is Microsoft 365 backed up already?
Not in the way most people assume. Microsoft protects the service and keeps deleted items for a limited period. If you need to restore a mailbox or a SharePoint site from months ago, you need a separate backup. We set that up.
Do we need Business Premium for everyone?
Usually not. We look at what each person does and licence accordingly, which often pays for a chunk of the support fee.
Can you help if we already have an IT provider?
We can run the free health check and hand you the report to act on, whoever does the work.
In their words
What clients say about working with us
By the time Select Group came to us, we'd been through three other suppliers, our migration was still incomplete, and we were losing revenue because people couldn't access the systems they needed to work. Select understood that we needed more than a completed migration; we needed our business functioning again. I often say that if they hadn't come along when they did, I genuinely don't know whether Beetroot would still be here today.
